Weekend eating......

Due to my mom coming for a visit we had some eating to do this weekend.
This is my review of the places we ate and what we ate......
On Saturday we went to the city and our first stop was Pier 39 (imagine your surprise)
Swiss Louis was our lunch stop. I had the lasagna, it was nice.....although the sauce was a bit too sweet for me. Jai had a hamburger....he said it was alright. Mom had the red snapper. She says the rice was yummy. I think all in all it was the views we had and the company that made lunch nice. The food was secondary and nothing to write home about.

We went to China Town...didn't eat there. After a short visit we went over to the Bloomingdales Mall and made a visit to the most amazing food court I have been to. It's very high end. They have a gourmet market in there also....

We bought some sweets and I drooled over the cheese section. :D
My last stop was Beard Papa.....for the best eclair and cream puff....I suggest the eclair with vanilla custard...it rocks!! Check out the site...it has a cute story!

We were dead so decided home was the place for us. For dinner we ended up having tri tip roast and pasta that I made at home....it didnt suck!



Sunday mom and I drove to Half Moon Bay to visit the beach. It was a nice day. :)

We stopped at the Flying Fish Grill for some more fresh sea food. Mom needed to get here fill!
She ordered a basket with fish and chips, prawns, calamari and scallops. She was in heaven. I had some of the fish (not a fish person so this was a big deal for me.) It was pretty tasty. :)

Dinner on Sunday night was at Turmeric. We hadn't eaten there before and thought to give it a try as they have a buffet on Sunday night. My mom had never eaten Indian food before so this would be a great chance for her to try it. She loved it!! I thought the food was pretty good too! We will be going back and trying the menu. :)

Monday morning we went to a diner in Santa Clara....had some Swedish pancakes....yumma!!! And then we had to stop off for some cookie from TJ's and some things from the Indian market..my mom is keen to cook some Indian food now.
Well....that was my food journey for the weekend! :) I didn't even gain a pound! hahah!!
